Create a Telegram bot

Your assistant needs a Telegram bot to communicate with you.

1. Open @BotFather on Telegram

Search for @BotFather in Telegram, or click t.me/BotFather. It’s Telegram’s official bot for creating bots.

2. Create a new bot

Send the command:

/newbot

BotFather will ask for a name (shown in chats) and a username (must end in bot). For example:

• Name: My AI Assistant
• Username: my_ai_assistant_bot

3. Get the token

BotFather will give you a token:

7204891234:AAH3kf8Ks9dKf82jD_xKsOqRkZ3mN2kL9xQ

Keep this token — you’ll need it for the config. Don’t share it with anyone.

4. Get your Telegram ID

Send a message to @userinfobot and it’ll reply with your numeric ID.

✅ You now have: a bot token and your Telegram ID. Move on to the API key.
